Lessons Introduction
Kiteboarding is a sport that you can learn relatively easily. The power generated by a full size kite allows the high speeds and big air that make the sport so exciting. Safety is the number one priority, and controlling the kite's power is the key to Kiteboarding safety.
We have hundreds of people out on the water Kiteboarding confidently and safely, after taking our 4 session instruction program. We have special equipment for instruction, to fast track the learning process. The rate and ease of learning varies from person to person. Many people bring skills from other sports which can accelerate the learning process. Practice of the techniques we teach over the 4 session program is important.
After Sessions 1, 2 and 3 are completed we recommend you have one to three practise sessions of an hour or more. You can either rent our school equipment or purchase your own equipment. This will enable you to become very confident with your kite control both in the water and on land. Session 4 is where we get you on a board, and this is so much easier if you have put in the practice time with the kite. From here, go practice. You will progress each time your out until you are riding with confidence. Where ever possible we are there to assist you with your progress.
Session 1 is land based with Sessions 2, 3 and 4 in the water. All Sessions are 60 minutes duration. We provide all equipment; kites, boards, harness, safety helmet, flotation vest. Also a wetsuit at no extra cost.
