Inspired by Hawaiian-style downwind boards, the AXIS Downwind boards are narrow, sleek designs that feature proven rocker lines. Prominent chines allow the tail to sink easily and work in combination with the straight elongated outline to keep the board tracking in a straight line. This makes paddling up onto foil far easier in any water state.
The AXIS Downwind carbon foilboards are specifically designed for dedicated downwind enthusiasts. With their easier paddling experience, they are perfect for overcoming the biggest challenge of downwinding: getting up on the foil. The long skinny design provides a distinct advantage - if you ever touch down, getting back up is a breeze thanks to the reduced drag resistance of the narrow outline. And the take off is unparalleled due to the shape and rocket design.
The AXIS Downwind carbon Foilboards are the ultimate dedicated DW boards for AXIS in 2023.
Constructed with EPS core, full carbon and a tough PVC sandwich layer on the EVA deck area only, these boards are built to be light for optimised performance.
A super high-density foam block encases the mast tracks and is sandwiched between the EVA deck area and bottom laminate.
Finished in our AXIS signature red, highly visible for ultimate safety.

WEIGHT & VOLUME CHART:
Use our weight and volume chart HERE to assist with selecting the appropriate board size. As a guide for SUP DW we recommend 30-35% as minimum and 40-45% as optimum for your first board. This percentage range is directly related to agility, fitness and previous water sport skill levels.
