The Solus was designed for fun but built to win. Created and designed by Kane de Wilde and proven in races worldwide, including the Koa Kai Championship, the foil began as an alternative to extreme high aspect race wings. Instead of chasing maximum aspect ratio and span at the expense of control, the goal was to build a foil that goes fast, accelerates effortlessly, and stays fun and manageable in everyday conditions, open ocean runs, and variable wind or swell. All Solus sizes share a consistent 14 aspect ratio geometry, striking a balance between glide and control while keeping spans manageable and surf friendly. Paired with a highly refined foil section, the Solus runs significantly faster and smaller than its surface area suggests without ever feeling too small or difficult to keep on foil.

Geometry

All Solus sizes share a 14 Aspect Ratio platform. Its multisection design blends a thicker, reflexed center section with thinner, highercamber tips, delivering a dialedin mix of stability, efficiency, and razorsharp handling. On the water, it feels precise, reactive, and ready to accelerate the moment you load it.

Construction

Built with Ultra High Modulus Carbon, Solus stays rigid and precise under load while keeping weight to a minimum. The construction locks in its refined section geometry, giving you consistent, highprecision performance every session, crisp feedback, clean acceleration, and a rocksolid feel when you’re pushing hard.

REAR WING SIZES:

A high aspect, hyper efficient High Modulus Carbon tail built to maximize glide, stability, and top end speed. It’s tuned for downwind, race, dock starts and effortless energyriding scenarios.

The Pulse Tail is KT’s highestefficiency stabilizer, built for riders who prioritize glide, speed, and sustained efficiency over tight turning response. It’s engineered to pull maximum glide and topend out of any front wing, making it the ideal choice for conditions where conserving energy and holding speed matter most. Compared to surforiented tails like Atom, Pulse runs at lower angles for the same lift and delivers noticeably more glide and topend speed. Its highaspect outline minimizes induced drag, helping the foil hold momentum through lulls, flat sections, and long gaps between bumps. Pulse is the tail you choose when efficiency is the goal. It excels in downwind and race conditions, and it’s equally effective for dockstarts and flatwater pumping when you’re chasing maximum distance per pump rather than maneuverability.

Aluminum fuselages offer an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, providing a stiffer response and a narrower, faster profile. This design enhances rigidity, offering excellent resistance to twisting and bending, which results in a more direct feel, added pop for free-style tricks, and improved control through turbulence.

Our mast, front wing, and tail connections feature optimized cut-outs to minimize weight and drag, while the footprint connection ensures a precise, grooved fit, reducing wear compared to traditional tuttle connections. Anodizing ensures durability and corrosion resistance.The current connection will also accommodate potential future options for carbon fuselages.
